Ellen's Story:

Ellen Nadeau is an internationally known artist with works in corporate and private collections in North America and Europe. Since receiving a M.F.A. degree from the Univ. of Michigan in 1981, she has held university faculty positions in Chicago, Denver and the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Aix-en-Provence, France.

Landscape, geology, and the human figure are intertwined in all of Ellen Nadeau's imagery. Some series of works are more closely allied to the figure, but the presence of landscape is always a contributing element. The media range from handmade paper, drawings and fiber, to clay, fired ceramics and bronze. Nadeau's work is found in the collections of Chemical Bank Corporation, N.Y., Norman DeHaan and Carl Kaufman, Chicago, Kaiser Permanente, Denver and many private collections in North America and Europe.
